01) Scarsick (7:08) - Very, very Faith No More-ish. The reocurring guitar riff gives you a little something to latch on to, as does a slow and spooky chorus. Musically it's a little flat. Not bad, but I've been skipping it.

02) Spitfall (7:17) - A second straight song with Gildenlow doing a lot of rapping instead of singing. Personally, I like Daniel's voice when he raps, but I think the lyrics he's using comes across as a little lame. The song shifts from rap to rock in the chorus with a very memorable chorus that I love. Pretty good, but maybe a little overly long. Again, no real leads or solos here -- would've helped make it even better.

03) Cribcaged (5:56) - Song of the year? A profound attack of the MTV Cribs culture. A softer rock song, but extremely memorable. Very emotional with lots of explicit language as the voice of the song expresses his frustration as the song moves along. Songs like this re-inspire me about music ... it's a song I want everyone to hear ... a song I need to listen to several times a day: when I wake up in the morning, at night before bed, throughout the work day, etc. That hadn't happened in a while. (Still no leads or solos, though!?!)

04) America (5:05) - The lyrics aren't kind, but I do like this song quite a bit. Good melody and feel, subtley quirky music. Catchy as hell chorus that appears often. Wish it had just a little more musical substance to it, though. (Don't remember any leads or solos here.)

05) Disco Queen (8:22) - This one took me by surprise. The verses are kindof a somber (boring) break between what is otherwise very disco-inspired music. While I hate disco, I like what PoS did here. The choruses are infectious and I like the transitions. My only complaint is that the song is too long. The carnal lyrical subject matter is inappropriate to some, perhaps, but it amuses me. Overall, I love it. (There's a minimal weird solo here.)

06) Kingdom of Loss (6:41) - A slower song that trades off some somber Gildenlow singing with some spoken word a'la Vocarai Dei (spelling?), with just one voice instead of multiple. I know I spoke negatively about some of the slow/somber characteristics of the previous songs, but I think it really works well here. This sone comes together well, but takes a little while to grow on you, I think. Oh, and there's actually a guitar solo in this song! It's good, too. The final minute of the song is heavier, fitting for the emotion they're working with.

07) Mrs. Modern Mother Mary (4:14) - Kindof a Seattle grungey song that doesn't make much of an impact. Not a typical PoS effort, imo.

08) Idiocracy (7:04) - A crunchy, industrial-ish song marked by strange vocals in a very short petite style. Not a big fan of the first half of the song, but find the second half to be more enjoyable when the chorus makes more of a presence and the music stands out more.

09) Flame to the Moth (5:58) - In tone, it picks up where the previous song leaves off. Dark, grinding, some electronics ... feels modern metal-ish. Then there's all the pointless screaming.... But there's also some nice melody that comes out the vocals in a few places, too. Musically, again PoS can do better -- things feel flat and kindof boring.

10) Enter Rain (10:03) - I was really psyched about this song. An album finale. 10 minutes. A cool title like "Enter Rain" that just evokes all kinds of possibility for drama and emotion. Instead, the song is vapid ... 10 minutes of nothing.
